AFRI-CACY

“At this stage of our lives, I bet you will all agree with me that “democracy” isn’t working. Not only in Nigeria does this apply, but in other African states”.

I try as much as possible not to bring politics to the blog… as silly as that may sound, I’m afraid that the talk of politics, literally jolts people to another level.

For how long do we want to deny it, it’s obvious that these “ism’s” aren’t really working in African states. What are ism’s you ask, well they are the long standing ideologies people would die  for. Understandably so, blood shed brought about most of them : Democracy, Capitalism, Socialism, Totalitarianism, Fascism and many more.

Few days back, I watched a debater literally struggle to express himself, when he brought up the topic on Afri-cacy. I honestly felt so bad for him, poor soul they were going to eat him up.

Afri-cacy in its true sense doesn’t have a definition, but it has a vision. The idea behind it however, basically states that Africa as a whole should have an ideology that applies to it. An ideology that recognises all of our problems and has at least an idea of solving them. An ideology that goes beyond boundaries, cuts within tribes and defies all value systems.

“An ideology of Africans, by Africans and for Africans. An ideology that is truly born, breed in Africa”.

It all starts from an idea, and a concious and deliberate effort to see that idea grow. So there you have it, Afri-cacy. Although some of you may not agree with me, I have no problem with it. Honestly I would like to see this topic argued in many debates and on the lips on of many Africans.

Bloggers note: hey guys am deeply sorry for this late post. I will have you know that you all have been on my mind for so long. And no excuse justifies the fact that I haven’t written for some time. So, I make no excuses. And I honestly pray to be more consistent with my posts. I love you all deeply. And for more updates follow me on twitter: @titi_deyeri ,Instagram: @titideyeri

Thank you so much and God bless you.
